Going To Hell & Back For UP Housing - Can You Help?

A group of Éirígí members and supporters will be taking on the Hell & Back challenge on Saturday (October 5th) to raise funds for the UP Housing campaign. Unlike many political parties, Éirígí For A New Republic does not receive a single cent in funding from the state or any other organisations.

All of our activism is done on a completely voluntary basis and all of our campaign materials are bought from small donations from party members and the general public.

Universal Public Housing has the potential to provide affordable, secure homes for everyone that is in need of housing. It would also transform Irish society by ending segregated housing and breaking down class barriers. You can read more about UP housing here.

A new system of UP Housing would end the reign of the private land-hoarders, developers, bankers, landlords and the gombeen politicians that work for them. Unsurprisingly those same powerful forces will do all in their power to prevent UP Housing from becoming a reality.

Over the last few months our campaigns team have been putting together leaflets, banners, pop-ups, petition sheets and other materials for a major UP Housing campaign.

While initial stocks of these materials have been bought, Éirígí simply does not have the resources to purchase all of the campaign materials that we need to run an effective UP Housing campaign.

So we’re asking members of the public to help out by sponsoring our Hell & Back team. All donations, no matter how small, are welcome. And all donations will be ring-fenced for the UP Housing campaign.

If you are in a position to make a donation you can do so via PayPal at mailto:eirigigeneralsecretary@gmail.com A
