No British Withdrawal? No Royal Visits!
Just two weeks on from the 20th anniversary of the murders of three Irish citizens by the British army’s SAS murder squad, the head of those forces is to be paraded around the streets of a major Irish city.
IRA volunteers Mairéad Farrell, Dan McCann and Seán Savage were on active service in the British colony of Gibraltar in March 1988 when they were shot dead by the notorious British unit. All three were unarmed and attempting to surrender at the time.
Twenty years on, Elizabeth Windsor, the woman who masquerades as the ‘Queen of Great Britain and Northern Ireland’, is to hold official ceremonies in Armagh city in a blatant attempt to normalise the ongoing British occupation of the Six Counties.
As commander-in-chief of Britain’s armed forces, Windsor provides ceremonial succour to all the British murder gangs that have been active against the Irish people over the last 30 years and more.
5,000 of these troops remain within the occupied area, with an undisclosed number of British military intelligence personnel also active.
Late last year, the British government officially opened its second largest MI5 base in north Down – along with intelligence gathering operations against Irish republicans, this base will become the centre of MI5 operations in the event of their London headquarters being shut down.
Against this backdrop of continuing British aggression, Elizabeth Windsor will arrive in Armagh on March 20 to preach the message of peace.
Éirígí chairperson Brian Leeson took up the theme.
“Britain’s understanding of peace in Ireland has always been one of continued occupation without resistance. This analysis was at the heart of their infamous normalisation strategy, which is now coming to fruition.
“By publicly announcing in advance a visit by Elizabeth Windsor to the Six Counties for the first time in nearly half a century, the British establishment is clearly signalling that the normalisation process is all but complete. In their view, the Six Counties is as British as Finchley and their monarch can visit at will.”
Brian continued: “Éirígí won’t allow such a propaganda exercise to go unopposed. While her forces of occupation remain in Ireland, Elizabeth Windsor is not welcome in Ireland.
“We are calling on all republicans, socialists and democrats to join us in Armagh city on March 20 and resist the normalisation of British rule in this country.”
Éirígí is calling on people to assemble at Irish Street in Armagh City on Thursday, March 20 from 9am onwards. Make it loud, make it colourful and give Britain the message, “No withdrawal? No royal visits!”
