Today, as part of our On the Shoulders of Giants series, we republish the Declaration and Resolutions of the Society of United Irishmen of Belfast, first published in 1791. This is especially poignant given that today marks the birth date of Theobald Wolfe Tone, the man regarded as the founding father of Irish Republicanism.
