Bringing Seachtain Na Gaeilge To The Streets
Éirígí produced two new posters to mark Seachtain na Gaeilge 2020. The first included an image of Patrick Perase alongside the phrase ‘Tír Gan Teanga, Tír Gan Anam’, which translates as ‘a country without a language is a country without a soul. The second poster contained a series of simple everyday phrases in the Irish language’.
Chruthaigh Éirígí dhá phóstaer nua chun Seachtain na Gaeilge a cheiliúradh. Ar an gcéad póstaer bhí íomhá den bPiarsach agus a mhana cháiliúil 'Tír Gan Teanga, Tír Gan Anam'. Sa dara póstaer bhí frásaí úsáideacha i nGaeilge a d'fhéadfaí úsáid ó lá go lá.
Dozens of the posters were erected in communities in Dubln, Wexford, Galway, Athlone and elsewhere as part of our commitment to bringing our native tongue back into widespread community usage. Here’s a photo gallery of some of those posters. If you’re interested in joining Éirígí and the fight for a New Republic please fill in the form on this page.
Chrochadh na dosaen póstaer i bpobal éagsúla i mBleá Cliath, Loch Garman, Gaillimh, Áth Luain agus in áiteacha eile nach iad, mar chuid dár bhfeachtas ár dteanga dhúchasach a athneartú. Seo a leanas gailearaí grianghraif de na póstaeir agus iad crochta in airde. Más spéis leat bheith mar bhall de Éirígí agus cabhrú leis an troid ar son na Poblachta Nua, líon isteach an fhoirm ar bhun an leathanaigh.
