Your War Is Still Not In Our Name
Five years on from the commencement of the Anglo-US war on the people of Iraq, citizens around the world are still demonstrating their opposition to the bloody occupation.
Saturday (March 15) saw well-attended rallies in Belfast, Dublin, across Europe and elsewhere challenging US and British imperialism in the Middle East. As representatives from the Leinster House and Stormont administrations were preparing for their annual get together with the war criminal George W. Bush in the White House, they were outnumbered by the Irish citizens who were prepared to come onto the streets in support of freedom, peace and democracy.
Tens of thousands of conscious citizens across the world coordinated to condemn the USA, Britain and their allies and demanded the immediate withdrawal of occupying armed forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, and no invasion of Iran.
