Éirígí Activists Help Close Down Shell Again

Half a dozen Éirígí activists participated in Dublin Shell to Sea’s latest picket of Shell headquarters on Friday morning. In what appears to have become a daily ritual for Shell, security staff in the building locked the front doors and instructed all employees to walk through the back gate.

They were met there by Éirígí and Shell to Sea activists who distributed campaign leaflets to the employees.

Similar to previous weeks, and despite assurances from the picketers that they had no intention of entering the premises, Shell ordered its security staff to padlock the back gates, forcing their employees to go through a humiliating process of waiting as security staff fumbled with keys.
